About the District

Jefferson-Como Fire Protection District was established in 1960 and is a Colorado Title 32, Special District (local government). We are a combination fire department with a paid professional staff available 24/7 to meet all of your fire suppression and emergency medical needs. Office hours are from 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. seven days a week. We have six additional stations that house various structural fire and wildland fire apparatus.
Our District encompasses 525 square miles of beautiful private, state and federal lands that are enjoyed by our local residents as well as thousands of visitors every year. We strive to prevent structural and wildland fires and provide emergency medical basic level care. View District Service Area Map.
